Hong Kong’s 2026/27 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programmes began on 17 September 2026. The Centre for Health Protection encourages the public, especially people in target groups, to receive seasonal influenza vaccination after the programmes begin. The COVID-19 and influenza vaccines can be given at the same visit when a person is eligible and gives informed consent. [1]

Vaccination does not guarantee that a person will never become infected. Its purpose is to reduce the risk of severe illness and complications. Before booking, check the current eligibility, venue and vaccine information on the official Hong Kong pages. People with a history of severe allergic reaction to a vaccine component, acute illness or other medical concerns should discuss vaccination with a doctor or healthcare professional first.

A practical appointment checklist is simple: bring your vaccination record if available, tell the healthcare professional about allergies and previous vaccine reactions, and ask which programme or fee applies. Seek urgent medical care for severe breathing difficulty, collapse, facial swelling or other signs of a serious allergic reaction after vaccination.
